About Us Plym Ramblers is a well-established walking group. We are affiliated to the Ramblers Association. We offer regular walks in Devon, Cornwall and beyond and a full programme of social events. We walk most Sundays and have short mid-week walks. On Sundays we provide short walks of up to 5 miles or a longer day walk of 6 to 8 miles. Each month we have a leisurely mini-walk on various weekdays of around 2 or 3 miles. We pride ourselves on our friendliness and we guarantee a good time when you join us. Membership is £8.00 p.a renewable in October. |

Sunday, 22nd February. Ernesettle. Long Walk, 6.5 miles. Moderate. Bus ride to Lakeside Ernesettle, Budeshead Woods, West Park & Honicknowle area & back to Central Park. Some steep ups, mainly on pavements. No toilets or stiles. |

Sunday, 1st March. Calstock. Short Walk, 4.5 miles. Medium. Tuckermarsh Quay, Calstock Viaduct, Ward Mine & Helston Farm. |

Tuesday, 10th March. Oreston & Radford. Mini Walk, 2 miles. Easy. Walk around Oreston & Radford area. |

ON THE BEATEN TRACKOn the Beaten Track is a popular series of books which feature walks within 25 miles of Plymouth.
The books were developed by Plym Ramblers over the last 25 years or so. Book 1 was first published before 2005, Book 2 in 2005, Book 3 in 2010 and Book 4 in 2017. Therefore, some of the route details and maps are now a little out-of-date.
We have a current project to update some of the walks and publish them online. However, in the meantime here are the original books to either buy or download:
